online information policy
what's the purpose?
The Museum of Ceramics’ online resources will inform constituents of the programs, classes, activities, and exhibits of the Museum. It will also serve as a resource of information about East Liverpool, the pottery industry in the tri-state area, and about the functioning of the Museum of Ceramics, including hours, location, contact information, and memberships. Also included will be public policies for collection development (donations), archive and library usage, and any other policy of importance to the public.
WHo owns the content?
The Museum of Ceramics Foundation and, in some cases, the Ohio History Connection, owns all the content and images on the Museum’s home page, Facebook page, and any other online forum. Re-posting (sharing) of Museum events, classes, and programs for marketing purposes is encouraged but copying other content without attribution is prohibited. For questions about proper attribution, copyright compliance, or to request permission to use the Museum’s online content, contact the Director of the Museum at 330-386-6001.
WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?
Designated employees of the Museum of Ceramics are developers of the online resources. Every attempt to post only correct, unbiased, and appropriate content will be made. It is expected that those who post “to” the Museum’s online forums will do the same. The Museum administration reserves the right to edit, delete, move, or mark as spam any or all comments that are rude, disparaging, or use inappropriate language. Access will be blocked for anyone who does not comply with these guidelines.
Questions about this policy may be directed to the Museum of Ceramics Director by calling 330-386-6001.
